Green strip lights are widely used underground for evacuation guidance.

1, Better visibility in smoke & dark conditions

Human eyes are most sensitive to green light (around 555 nm). Green light penetrates smoke better than red or blue. 

When there is a fire or power cut, smoke rises to the upper area; low-mounted green strips stay visible and mark the escape path.

2, International safety colour rule

Green is the global standard colour for safe passage / evacuation routes. 

Red means danger or stop, while green tells people “this way is safe to go out”.

Underground spaces are enclosed and easy to cause panic. 

Green makes people feel calm and helps them stay orderly during evacuation.

4, Continuous path marking

LED strips can run along walls, floors or handrails, forming a continuous glowing line. 

Unlike single exit signs, they show the whole direction of the escape route clearly.

5, Reduce fatigue (for long tunnels)

In long road tunnels, soft green strips also relieve visual fatigue for drivers and passengers in dark, enclosed environments.
